The OceanX Sharkmaster 1000 SMS1051B is a high quality watch. It pays tribute to diving watches of the present and the past, but does have key OceanX elements.

Under the hood you will find an automatic, Japanese SII NH35 movement. The glass is 4.5mm thick scratch resistant sapphire glass. The impressive 1000 meter water resistance of this watch is possible due to the helium valve, that you can see on the side of the case. The uni-directional 120 clicks bezel has a ceramic insert (which is very scratch resistant) and the characters have lume. The rose gold accents on the bracelet, crown and bezel have a durable PVD coating. All these qualities ensure to the Sharkmaster is able to handle nearly any situation.

The difference between the SMS1051 and the SMS1051B can be found in the dial. The new SMS1051B has a shiny black dial, whereas the dial on the SMS1051 is matte black.
